Mistakes to avoid when taking the photo(s)

  • Make sure the light or sun is in front of you.
  • No shadows of any part of your body appear.
  • Don’t take the photo as a selfie. Let someone else take that photo.
  • Take a photo in a horizontal way, not a portrait. This will give space around you. 
  • Don’t be too close to the lens.
  • Allow space above your head and on both sides. This will help to resize without distorting photo quality. See the photos below.
  • Make sure you have a white (plain) background.
  • Don’t wear hats or uniforms.
  • Always look forward.
